Confident Wardley Weighs 20lb Below Than Bulky Parker

Parker weighed almost 20 pounds more against the British boxer as both top fighters presented assured figures - albeit in opposing styles - ahead of Saturday's main event in the capital.

"This is the moment. It signifies the ultimate," stated a determined but zoned-in Fabio Wardley, 30, at yesterday's weigh-in.
The Ipswich fighter - the holder of the interim WBA title - weighed in at 17st 5lb, matching his recent bouts.
"This is the one prior to the one. All the work is done. Preparation is wrapped up. The grueling sessions is put in. Time for some rest now. Major event coming up," he added.
The East London market in London's east end witnessed not just typical items on the measure as the two fighters squared up for the ultimate face-off before the bout.
Joseph Parker flashed a wink at the lenses and swayed along to the beat.
As he flexed his strength, he appeared powerful and forceful as he weighed in at 18st 10lb, only 5lb lighter than his career-heaviest.
This marks a major change from the sixteen stone twelve pound version who lost his championship to Joshua in 2018.
"We are cautious, we're cautious, but I'm going to respond with equal force and I intend to connect with him," Parker stated.

Fabio Wardley, sporting an Ipswich Town jersey, held a straight face, nodded to the audience, but appeared focused.
He may be the smaller man, Wardley has outstanding stopping ability. He produced a thrilling recovery against Huni in June, down on the judges' cards then stopping his opponent in the 10th round although being outboxed for the majority of the contest.
"His opponent, his camp and boxing fans will learn I am meant to be at the peak of this weight class," Fabio Wardley said.
"Every opponent has been the one experts say will overcome me. This is the one. His attributes include superior speed, rapid, too experienced. Yet I haven't been beaten so far, and nothing will change in the ring."
