In the course of a engagement to Lichfield Cathedral on the start of the week, King Charles was shouted at by a protester who questioned him about his brother's links with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The individual asked how long the monarch had been known about his sibling's association with Jeffrey Epstein, and also questioned whether he had instructed the police to "cover up" for Prince Andrew.

Despite the heckling, there were throngs of supporters and cheers for the monarch, who was visiting the region for an ceremony.

The Duke of York's associations with Jeffrey Epstein have been under renewed focus in the past few weeks. The royal, who gave up his titles earlier this month, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

"How long have you known about Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Did you request the authorities to cover up for Andrew?"

The King did not respond but continued greeting fans, some of whom chanted "Long live the King". One supporter can be heard requesting him for a hug.

Another woman outside the venue was also observed telling the heckler to "go away" and to "shut up".

Scandal Revived by Memoir

The scandal over the Duke of York's connections to Epstein has been reignited by misconduct claims detailed in Ms. Giuffre's posthumously-published memoir.

In the memoir, the accuser says she had sex with the royal on multiple times, including once with Jeffrey Epstein and "several other minors"

Prince Andrew, who reached a financial settlement with the plaintiff in 2022, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In a previous interview, he told a news program he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "never had any sort of sexual contact."

Fresh Questions About Lifestyle and Living Arrangements

But recently, fresh questions have been asked about how he is able to fund his lifestyle despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Windsor mansion has heightened the examination over his housing situation - even though he made large payments up front, including for improvements.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be summoned before MPs to give evidence about his rental agreement of his residence.

But last week, the government refused to give parliamentarians time to debate the prince's status or his home, despite growing pressure for scrutiny.

Buckingham Palace has not commented on whether the Duke of York might relocate of his home - or where he might reside.
