Certain fatalities in custody have been widely reported, for instance a 50-year-old hospital director who lost his life in prison after 120 days in custody.

A prisoner held with the deceased stated that he was taken to the courtyard by correctional officers just prior to his passing, obviously hurt and exposed from the lower body. His corpse has not been returned to Gaza.
