That Grisly Animated Film Ending That Stays With Audiences
Among all the adult-oriented animated films I’ve ever viewed, no other has lingered in my mind as much as the fear-filled conclusion of the viscerally violent and overwhelingly transgressive film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.
Back in the year 2015, this Spanish filmmaker crafted a grim, somber , often savage world that included some tiny , forlorn glimmers of optimism.
Although The Unicorn Wars feels like it came from a desire to push animation even more, the director clarified that it was actually a try to convey a widespread, cross-cultural theme about “the shared root of all wars.”
This theme is communicated by means of a band of colorful pastel bears , openly modeled after a famous series of lovable figures.
