The Streaming Giant Casts Spot-On Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bon Clay. This character has the ability to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action series, differing from the source material and cartoon version.
The new cast member joins a number of recently announced actors who will portray the group to life, such as head Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.
Even though the role is a key figure of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a major departure in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
